About the General Practice Students Network

The General Practice Students Network (GPSN) is a national student-run organisation using a peer-to-peer marketing model that seeks to foster interest in general practice and promote it as a specialty of choice.

GPSN offers programs focused on exposing medical students to the inspiring diversity of a career in general practice. Activities include fun clinical skill sessions, social events, seminars and conferences, peer support and networking opportunities.

Notre Dame has a very friendly GPSN team to assist you with all general practice related enquiries. There are active GPSN clubs in medical schools at all 20 university campuses across Australia, each with something unique to contribute.  In addition to medical training, the University of Notre Dame – Sydney medical school program offers specialised units in medical business, medical law and bioethics. Students also undertake The University of Notre Dame Australia Core Curriculum in theology, ethics and philosophy. These additional units encourage students to become well-rounded individuals who are able to contemplate the greater and wider ethical issues in healthcare to meet the challenges of the next 100 years.
