FOAMed stands for Free Open Access Medical Education, which is a collection of resources and tools for learning medicine. Much of it to date is aimed at doctors, trying to update their understanding in a particular area, or learn new tools, or encourage collaboration. An example is the website ‘Life in the Fast Lane’ http://lifeinthefastlane.com/. There is lots of stuff out there but it can be difficult to go through all the mess and find what is applicable to each year level.
A project at Melbourne University is trying to bring resources together and they would love to hear back from you or allow you to get involved in this collaborative project. The project can be found athttp://foamedstudent.com/. They are looking for any feedback but also avid student FOAM-lovers who might like to write blog posts and be guest-authors to the site too.
